Our Radio Friends
This page is dedicated to the friends we have made in the radio world who are playing the music of stillstanding. The list is still growing.......
Broadcasting from Charleston, West Virginia John was the first to sign us up for regular airplay and we cannot thank him enough. I think we have about 10 songs in rotation with John right now. You can listen to his show anytime by clicking here
Broadcasting Live from Victoria Australia is our friend Geoff Morris. His show is called Wall to Wall Bluegrass on World Wide Bluegrass.com. This show is now on twice a week ( Mondays 8-11PM EST and 6-9PM EST Fridays). Geoff is a wonderfully warm host who will even engage the chatroom while the show is on. His scope of interest in bluegrass is very broad and makes for a well rounded show. You can catch his show on these days by Clicking Here
“Hit the Big Wide Strum! pays tribute to Appalachian mountain music. You’ll hear fiddle and banjo music that brings the “high and lonesome sound’ of old-time and bluegrass into the modern era. Tune in weekly for a toe-tappin’ treat.” Host Robin Eriksson has often been generous enough to let me co-host her show from time to time and I can tell you what she does is a labour of love. ALL local musicians who love this genre of music owe her a great debt of appreciation and gratitude for the help she has given us to get our music out there! Please help her out during Pledge Drive Week.
Hit the Big Wide Strum! broadcasts every Tuesday from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM. at 95.9 FM from the University of Winnipeg Campus The output of the station is about 450 watts and so unless you live within maybe 60 feet of the station I highly recommend listening in online by Clicking Here . The show is also archived so you can listen to previous shows anytime!
From Liberty MIssouri on radio KCXL comes a weekly broadcast called Believers and Bluegrass with Buster Roper. Station manager David Brewer claims he took one listen to some of StillStanding’s music and knew he had someone Buster had to talk to! And talk we did! Paul’s only wish now is that he had realized the interview was actually happening before it was over. But no regrets because Busters whoopin’ and hollerin’ and praise of all the music he plays is completely infectious and always a good time! You can catch Buster’s show at 11AM CST Saturdays by clicking here
Ray Sargent is a very busy man . His Calgary based network includes Enjoy Radio .org as well as Sunday Side Up. As you can see by the logos his audience is getting a very well rounded feast of Southern, Country, or Bluegrass Gospel music.StillStanding is played on both! To listen to Enjoy Radio -

GoldenWest Radio is a mainstay of life in southern Manitoba. Part of a large cache of stations that span the prairies our local hero is Al Friesen and his co - hosts Jayme Giesbrecht, and Michelle Sawatsky. If you are lucky enough to be interviewed by this “Made in Manitoba” team you will be amazed what a rich, well crafted, beautifully textured experience it will be. They were with us as we worked on the album and tied it all together for the superb interview you can watch and listen to if you click on the link in our Songs/Vids section of the website. Al has been spinning our songs from the beginning and you will always find him working hard to find the music and the stories that celebrate the rich heritage of southern Manitoba . Al, MIchelle, and Jayme can be heard on the morning show every weekday from 6-10 AM. Click Here for a link to the station
Uncle Billy Dunbar is a great supporter of Bluegrass and Gospel music and his show “ Country Unplugged” can be heard in several time slots during the week on World Wide Bluegrass. Uncle Billy has been in the game a long time and it shows in the rich selection of songs and stories he has on his show. He can often be found attending as many bluegrass festivals and concerts as he is able to. One of the great honors for StillStanding this year was being interviewed by this venerable titan for Country Unplugged
Another fine show on World Wide Bluegrass.com is Ken Hamilton’s weekly bluegrass show on Saturday mornings called Sunrise Bluegrass. This is a 3 hour show featuring some of the finest bluegrass and gospel music you will hear. Ken has been giving us a generous amount of airplay and has been using StillStanding’s “ The Long Road to Here” as his closing song of late! If you log into the chatroom Ken is there to chat as well. Ken’s show can be heard on Saturday mornings from 8 to 11AM EST by Clicking Here
